Yuck!

So somehow Beth is capable of barfing in the middle of the night and sleeping through it! When I went to get James out of his crib this morning the hallway smelled faintly of barf. Our house unfortunately tends to have a lot of faint unpleasant smells, but I thought this was odd. James was clean so I started to wonder about Beth. I went in her room to check on her and she was fast asleep covered in vomit. Her hair, her face, her pj's, her sheets. (sorry to be graphic) But she was sleeping quite peacefully, and I figured it would be bad to wake her up if she was sick, so I just let her sleep, thinking she'd wake up any minute. Of course she slept over an hour longer and the whole house smelled like barf at that point. Ugh. So when she finally did wake up we gave her a bath and washed everything in her room. In the process of the bath James got a little too excited and did a head dive into the bath tub, fully clothed of course. What an adventurous morning. Beth seemed fine the whole rest of the day, not a huge appetite and a bit sleepy, but no more barf. Thank heavens! Hopefully it was a fluke, the house smells okay this morning, so that's a good sign. Wish me luck!

***Note: She woke up covered in barf again...while I was at Choir practice. Poor Ryan had to deal with the aftermath. And he stayed home from church with her and James. What a champ!

this really seems to be going around--everyone has it but us (keep your fingers crossed). isaac did that once in his crib and it was all dripping through the slats and pooling on the carpet and it was AWFUL.

How do you barf and not wake up? That's crazy. I can't wait for that to happen to me...
