Costco

I love Costco, I really do. Especially with as many diapers as we go through at this house. But going to Costco with both of my kids is pretty much the bain of my existence. Usually they aren't too bad. But here is my dillema. They bicker if they are both in the cart, but if I let Beth get down i'm constantly worried i'm going to lose her in that huge store cramed full of people. If I threaten her life enough she stays close, but then she like the hang on the the cart and ride, which I usually like since she can't get lost, but she's not fighting with her brother. That is usually our solution, until today, when she jumped off while I was pushing the huge heavy cart and I inevitibly ran over her toe, and havoc ensued. The screaming, crying, every one stopping to look at me kind of havoc. I just love that kind! She really wasn't majorly hurt. No blood. No broken bones. But my darling daughter is a bit of a drama queen so it was quite the scene. I finally wrestled her back into the cart and finished our shopping, but she was a MAJOR pill for the rest of the time. I was trying not the be that mom in the store yelling at her kid the whole time, but I sure wanted to be! I was trying to do it quietly at least. Anyway, all I have to say is, it is a very good thing I don't have to do Costco trips very often. The regular grocery store is quite enough for me.

Oh man! Those trips out are the worst! On Memorial Day we went to a pizza restaurant with Carol and Livvy was such a pill that I about let loose on her. I was just about to lose it when the mom at the table next to us started yelling at her kid and after that I was able to keep myself in check. Amazingly enough, after eating lunch she was sweet as pie. What do you know - feed a kid and they're happy.

Wow! We should do Costco trips together. I love Costco too! Plus we could tag team the kids and have a yummy cheap lunch at the end....

All I have to say is...you're really a mom. That is an awesome story we can ALL relate to!

Sounds like lots of fun! I can imagine in my minds eye the "drama". Brings back many memories of shopping with 8 children and vowing to never take children shopping again!

Yeah, mom used to make that vow every single time she shopped! I remember it vividly!

I'm glad those tantrum, crying kids days are over for me I have to say...

I definitely can relate! Really, is there a good way to shop with 2 kids. It seems like anyway you do it causes some issue. My solution right now is Joseph in the cart, Elizabeth in my Bjorn, but that definitely can't go on much longer considering Elizabeth is approaching 20 lbs! Let me know if you figure out a great solution!
