The Nursery Debut

The nursery is finally done! Well, its been in a state of pretty much done for a long time now, but i finally got the last finishing touches I was waiting for! I may still fiddle around a bit of course, I'm thinking of tying some cute dark pink ribbon around the curtains to make them more decorative, but for the most part I LOVE THIS ROOM! Seriously, I think its my favorite room in our house. So here are some pictures...

My mom made the cute quilt hanging on the chair.

The sun is too bright behind the curtains, but they are the same lime green that is everywhere else in the room.

The sign says "I am a Child of God"

And here are some close-ups of the paintings that flank the window. My very beautiful and talented niece Chelsie painted these for me and they are just what the room needed to be complete. They bring all the colors from the rug and ceiling fan and everything and pull them together with the pink and green. Love them!

Cute! I love the green and pink theme.

Maybe I'm weird, but I've never gotten the nursery ready before my babies were born. The bigger kid is always still in the crib, so they don't get a room until a few months later when the baby moves out of our room. My poor kids don't have a mama who's as put together!

I love the colors! I am usually pretty organized before the baby is born, but this time the baby is sharing a decorated sports room with AJ and the crib is still in the basement. My babies are usually in the bassinet right off in my room, so I am going to enjoy the free space without a crib taking over Aj's toy area. How I would love to have the basement finished:) Now all you need is the baby:)
