Time Flies!

Kate is 6 months old! I cannot believe it. So crazy.

Here are her stats:
weight: 15 lbs. 2 oz. 33%
height: 26 inches 61%
head: 16.9 inches 67%

She is still smaller than my other kids were at 4 months! I don't know where my dainty blue eyed baby came from!

She started sitting up pretty well yesterday, on her 6 month birthday! She's been trying for a while, but yesterday was the first time she sat up for several minutes at a time. I'm so excited, I love the sitting stage!

She is trying her darndest to crawl already. She can scoot around a bit already, she pushed up on her arms and her toes and kicks to get around a little, its funny. And she still rolls all over. She's sleeping better, though still not through the night all the time, but its getting better, and her naps are much improved. And she LOVES baby food now. She's really taken to it the last couple of weeks and so far likes everything she tries.

We love our fiesty baby Kate! I can't believe she's growing up so fast!

Week 5

I knew birthday week wouldn't be good for my diet. I tried to eat well between eating out, and I still exercised (week 4 of couch to 5k is killing me!) but alas, I gained weight. Again. I'm so frustrated!!!!!!!!! I feel like I should be seeing some results by now. Its been over a month of really trying and i'm going up still! UGH!!!!

Oh, well, at least she was worth it...

Weel 3- Week 4

I forgot to post last week, but this post will work equally well for both weeks.

I'm exercising. I'm trying to count calories. I'm stuck. Immovable. Frustrated.

'Nough Said.

BIRTHDAY WEEK!

That's right folks, its birthday week again. And yes, I said week. Birthdays are way too much fun to celebrate on just one day, don't you agree?! :) So, here is the birthday week line-up, as far as I know so far anyway...
Today: Couple Massage!
Sunday: Family party with the Owen side!
Monday: Maid Service coming to scrub my house! Barbecue with friends!
Tuesday: Some sort of surprise Ryan has planned in the afternoon (driving me crazy!), and a girls night out at The Melting Pot with my longtime best friend Emily Benson!
Wednesday (the actual birthday): Desert Star playhouse date with Ryan!

Also in the lineup: My brother and sister-in-law from Washington are coming to visit this week, so there will be lots of cousin playtime and visiting with them. And I'm sure there will be a Davidson side birthday party at some point (hint, hint). And I'll have to make my traditional cupcakes or some other yummy dessert I can work on all week (hey, its my birthday!). And I'm sure there will be even more fun than that. I love my birthday. I really do. If you can't tell.

Week 2

Ryan is beating my by .2 pounds. Sheesh! I'm down 1.8 pounds total. Not as much as I hoped, but its something. I did really great exercising this past week, and I've been counting calories still. My eating isn't perfect, but I've at least been trying! This week is off to a good start, I'm aiming for two pounds this week, let's see if I can do it!

On other notes....

James is doing great potty training. He isn't perfect, and he has relapse days here and there, but we are on track at least. Finally!

Kate is still growing like a weed and keeping us guessing, but seems to be settling into a little more of a routine and starting to learn to go to sleep on her own.

Beth is busy busy with dance and friends and her new coloring and painting obsession, its fun to watch my girl growing up and finding her own interests.

Here are a few recent pictures...

One of Kate's first playdates

Kate is never allowed to play alone it seems

Kate just loves her bath, I thought this was a fun picture

James loves to wear ties, with any outfit!

Mother of the year, I know, but she LOVES popsicles!

And I just have to finish off with a picture of my "just because" flowers I got recently. My husband rocks!
