I Taut I Taw a Putty Tat!

Beth had her year end dance recital last week. It was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen! Her class was dressed as little tweety birds. She was way excited and practiced a lot. She talked about her costume non-stop from the first time she heard about it and we did a lot of listening to tweety bird sing, but it was all worth it! I was totally bursting with pride watching her dance on that big stage with no fear. She smiled and danced her heart out. I can't believe how grown up she is! Here are a few pictures of her while she was getting ready, she was SO excited that she got to wear makeup and get her hair all done (a BIG thanks to my neighbor Angie and her hair skills!).

I forgot to get a picture of her when she had her hair piece on too, lots of yellow feathers! After the recital we gave her a rose and I really thought she would bust from happiness! The next morning she told me that all night she could not make her smile stop because she had so much fun and we gave her flowers. I was so proud of my big girl. Congrats Beth!

Just had to share

I was looking through the pictures I've taken the last few months and came across this one I forgot about, just had to share it.

The joys of being a 3rd child that mom can't supervise at all times. She LOVES to feed herself, and I have to resign myself to let her or I would never get to eat anything. She makes a ROYAL mess at every meal, but is happy as can be. And she is great with a fork and spoon, better than either of my other kids were at this age by far. The choice of chili at this particular meal was probably not my wisest. haha.

Happy Mother's Day!

My husband kept up his usual spoiling for Mother's Day this year. First I got a surprise girl's night with my friend Jenny on Friday, including Pedicures, dinner and a movie. Then this morning I woke up to this:

Inside this rose, which he made, obviously, were the nesting boxes below, with a few notes between boxes.
And inside the last box was this:
An origami ring made of a $100 bill. :)
Held in the box with another $100 bill!
I had asked for several things that Ryan wasn't sure he could pick out on his own, so one of the notes said the money was to be used for those purposes. I'll take it!
He also made me this gorgeous origami bouquet. I Love his hand made flowers, they make me smile, and they never wilt! Who knew my husband was so creative and artistic?!

I love being a mom. It is the best and the hardest thing I have ever done. I pray daily in complete humble gratitude that my Heavenly Father felt like he could trust me with these precious little kids that I get to care for every day. It is not easy, and its not what I imagined it would be, but its better in so many ways. I love my kids!

I am also so incredibly grateful for my mom. I am who I am because of her and her example for me. I am beyond grateful for her and can only hope to be like her as a mom, and as a person. I love you mom!

I am also so grateful for my mother-in-law! She is an amazing woman, who raised a wonderful man that I am so grateful to have married. I am grateful to be a part of her family and to be able to count her as one of my moms! Love you Connie!

And to all the other women in my life... My sisters are amazing examples to me of wives and mothers and I am happy that I got to come after them so I could follow their lead and have their advice to count on. My sister-in-laws are included in that. They are as much family as my own sisters and I love them all. And to my numerous friends and other relatives. I don't know what I would do without all of you. I count on you all for help and advice and I don't know how I would survive with the support I feel constantly in my life because of all of you. Happy Mother's Day to all of you! Women rock. ;)
